Acclaimed fiction writer, poet, and editor, Sarah Klassen was born in Winnipeg, and currently resides there. A Curious Beatitude, published by the Muses Company, received the Canadian Authors Association Award for Poetry. Her poetry has also received two National Magazine Poetry Awards, one silver, one gold. Klassen’s most recent poetry collections are Monstrance and The Tree of Life. She has also published two short story collections: The Peony Season and A Feast of Longing, as well as a novel, The Wittenbergs. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Winnipeg. Aside from writing, she has taught English in the public school system in Winnipeg, and at summer institutes in Lithuania and Ukraine.
