Julie McIsaac
Of French, Scots/Irish and Scandinavian ancestry, Julie McIsaac grew up on the southern shores of Georgian Bay, on the traditional territories of the Odawa, Wendat, Anishinabek, and Haudenosaunee Confederacy. A director, dramaturg, playwright/librettist and multi-instrumentalist, Julie has appeared on stages throughout Canada and at the New American Voices Festival in London’s West End. She is an Associate Artist with Firepot Performance, a founding member of the Honest Fishmongers, and a frequent collaborator with Urban Ink. She is also the playwright of The Out Vigil and is a frequent collaborator with Urban Ink (Vancouver) and the Canadian Opera Company (Toronto). Julie lives on Vancouver Island.
