About the Authors
Paul Ledoux is one of Canada’s most produced creators of musical theatre, and his work is known for provocative explorations of the relationship between politics and popular culture. Ledoux’s shows include the Dora Mavor Moore Award and Chalmers Award-winning, Still Desire You (with David Young and Melanie Doane), and Dream a Little Dream, the nearly true story of The Mamas and The Papas, with Denny Doherty. Paul is the past chairman of the Playwrights Union of Canada and in the 70s served as the President of Montreal Playwrights’ Workshop.
Allen Cole is a composer, lyricist and/or book writer, and playwright who hails originally from Nova Scotia. His plays include rockbound and The Bricklin (with Paul Ledoux). He has won numerous awards, including four Dora Mavor Moore Awards, and a Best Film Score Award from the Atlantic Film Festival. In 2009, rockbound won five Merritt Awards, including Best New Play, Best Music and Best Production. Alan lives in Toronto, where he teaches Musical Theatre at Ryerson University.
